Material Preparation:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications to determine the required dimensions and layout of marble or stone surfaces.
• Measure, mark, and cut marble or stone slabs to fit specific dimensions using specialized tools and equipment.

Surface Fabrication:

• Shape, polish, and finish marble or stone surfaces to achieve desired textures, edges, and appearances.
• Use hand or power tools such as saws, grinders, and polishers to create precise cuts and finishes on marble or stone materials.

Installation and Assembly:

• Install marble or stone surfaces in accordance with established patterns, designs, and layout specifications.
• Apply adhesive or mortar to secure marble or stone slabs to walls, floors, countertops, or other surfaces.

Sealing and Finishing:

• Apply sealants, coatings, or finishes to marble or stone surfaces to enhance durability, protect against stains, and maintain appearance.
• Clean and polish finished surfaces to achieve a smooth, glossy finish and remove any residue or imperfections.

Quality Control and Safety:

• Conduct quality inspections to ensure precision, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications throughout the fabrication and installation process.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to materials or equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in stone cutting and installation preferred.
• Proven experience as a marble cutter/installer or similar role, with proficiency in cutting, shaping, and installing marble or stone surfaces.
• Knowledge of stone fabrication techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures related to marble cutting and installation.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials, work in various positions and environments, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship to achieve high-quality finishes and seamless installations in marble and stone projects.

The Marble Cutter/Installer position requires a skilled and experienced individual who can effectively interpret designs, fabricate marble and stone surfaces with precision, and ensure the quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal of installations in various construction projects.
