Duties

Driving and Vehicle Operation:

  • Plan efficient routes using navigation tools and geographical knowledge to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Adapt to changing conditions and communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure timely and successful deliveries.
  • Consider factors such as traffic patterns, road conditions, and client requirements when planning routes.
Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Perform routine inspections and conduct minor repairs to maintain the safety and functionality of company vehicles.
  • Monitor fluid levels, tire pressure, and mechanical systems to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed logs, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Compliance with Regulations:
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations, including DOT regulations and safety standards, to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
