Surface Preparation:

• Use sandblasting equipment to remove rust, scale, corrosion, and old paint from metal surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by masking off areas, filling cracks or defects, and applying primers or sealants as needed.

Cleaning and Washing:

• Clean surfaces using pressure washers, detergents, and solvents to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants.
• Rinse and dry surfaces thoroughly to ensure cleanliness and proper adhesion of paint coatings.

Paint Application:

• Apply paint coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns to achieve desired coverage, texture, and finish.
• Follow paint manufacturer's instructions and specifications for mixing, thinning, and application of paints and coatings.

Quality Control:

• Inspect painted surfaces for defects, runs, or inconsistencies and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
• Ensure proper adhesion, coverage, and appearance of paint coatings to meet quality standards and specifications.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazardous exposures during sandblasting, washing, and painting activities.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and safety goggles to minimize exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a sandblaster, washer, painter, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, cleaning methods, and paint application processes.
• Familiarity with sandblasting equipment, pressure washers, and painting tools and materials.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a variety of environmental conditions.
• Attention to detail and quality in surface preparation and painting tasks.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and work in confined spaces.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
