Overview

Duties

Diagnostic Assessment:
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues in vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the root cause of problems and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
Repair and Maintenance:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts with quality replacements to restore vehicle functionality and reliability.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
  • Analyze complex mechanical and electrical systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Develop creative solutions to overcome technical challenges and ensure successful repairs.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
  • Document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and recommended maintenance schedules for customer reference and internal records.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health standards during repair and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in an automotive repair shop or dealership setting.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to safety practices and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Relevant certification or vocational training in automotive repair is preferred.
